1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Hearthforge, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
2. Age Requirement
You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account or make purchases on Hearthforge.
3. User Accounts
- One account per person — multiple accounts are prohibited
- Account sharing is not permitted
- You must provide accurate and truthful information at registration
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
4. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without refund of virtual currency or purchased items.
5. Virtual Currency
- Gold is a virtual in-game currency with no inherent real-world monetary value
- Purchased gold is non-refundable except as required by the EU Consumer Rights Directive
- Gold earned through gameplay (wins, quests, rewards) has no cash value
- The withdrawal feature converts gold to EUR at our sole discretion and may be modified or discontinued at any time
6. Payments, Security & Compliance
All EUR purchases are processed securely in compliance with industry standards:
- PCI DSS Level 1 — All payment card data is handled in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. We never store full card numbers on our servers.
- 3D Secure (3DS2) — All card transactions are authenticated using 3D Secure 2.0 protocol, providing an additional layer of verification through your bank or card issuer.
- SSL/TLS Encryption — All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3.
- Alternative Payment Methods — SEPA Direct Debit, Blik, and Klarna payments are processed through PCI DSS compliant payment service providers.
Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase for unused gold bundles, as required by the EU Consumer Rights Directive. To request a refund, contact support@hearthforge.com.
7. Prohibited Conduct
- Cheating, exploiting bugs, or using automation tools (bots)
- Harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior toward other players
- Real-money trading of accounts, cards, or gold outside the game
- Attempting to reverse-engineer or interfere with game systems
8. Intellectual Property
All game content, artwork, card designs, and code are the intellectual property of Hearthforge. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution is prohibited.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the EU.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Users will be notified of material changes at least 30 days in advance via email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
